In the last week I have been surprised and honoured to find that I have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Blogger Sally Georgina Cronin of the Smorgasboard Blog. My sincere thanks for the nomination Sally.
You can find Sally’s blog here:
Now I have to say I am not worthy of this nomination – I believe the true Bloggers are people like Sally; hard-working, loyal and dedicated people who work and write hard on behalf of people that most of the time, they have never even met.
These are the people who truly deserve this Award, not me.
Why I began blogging.
I started blogging in 2007 but didn’t really understand much about it. My early attempts can be seen here: authorjohnapriest.blogspot.com
As my writing progressed I got to know bloggers who have been so helpful in getting my children’s books noticed by a wider audience. I realised I had to maintain a blog to keep in touch with bloggers and readers.
Recently I decided to switch all of my author websites to WordPress and I’m busily setting these up with free e-book offers for anyone interested in reviewing my books or joining my pre-launch team.
During my time as an online author I have spoken to many bloggers and every one of them has been kind, friendly and ready to help in any way they could.
For me, Sally would have been included as a nominee, but unfortunately rules are rules and so she has to be omitted from my list.
My 15 Bloggers who I feel should be recognised for their hard work are:

Of course all blogs come with some rules and here they are….
The Rules:
Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.
Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.
Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers.
Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
List who you’ve nominated in the post.
Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).
Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them.
Provide a link to the award post you created.
CONGRATULATIONS on getting this great award John 👍 and MANY THANKS For nominating me along with all those GREAT folks John 😱 👍😃🐵
You’re very welcome;-)
Congratulations on the award John and thank you so much for thinking of me. I totally agree with you regarding Sally. It boggles my mind how she does what she does! Great idea putting all of your sites together. Becoming a minimalist online is the way to go I think 🙂
Thanks Belinda!
Oh, my goodness… You caught me by surprise! Congratulations, John on receiving this wonderful award. Now, I have lots to process here… So, I better get to thinking on all this. Thank you for including my blog along with so many others. What a beautiful online community of bloggers!
It’s always nice to get things out of the blue! I hope it was a nice surprise!
Congratulations, John, and thank you for the nomination. Glad to see someone providing children with good books!
Thanks Connie;-)
